Percentages and Metrics
All percentages and most metrics in numbers, e.g. 4%

Measurements
Measurements should be abbreviated:
- 400 metres should be 400m
- 10 centilitres should be 10cl
- Kilowatts should be kw
Most importantly, be consistent.

Fractions
Example: Three and a half stone should be written as 3½ stone.

Creating Fractions in Word
If you type it as 3 (space) 1/2 stone Word will then automatically turn the 1/2 into superscript text. Ideally, what you would then do is remove the space between the 3 and the 1/2.

Measurements:
- 5km (not 5 kilometres)
- 250ml (not 250 millilitres)
- 75kg (not 75 kilograms)
- 30cm (not 30 centimetres)
Fractions:
- 2½ hours
- 1¼ miles
- 3¾ tonnes
Percentages:
- 25%
- 0.5%
- 100%
