Combined Audio Files

How to transcribe and format multiple audio files in a single document.

Combined Audio Files

Sometimes, you may be asked to transcribe two or more audio files into a single document. In these cases, follow these steps:

#

File Naming

  • Name the final document to reflect all included audio files (e.g., "XYZ 1 - 3")

#

Document Structure

  • Clearly mark the start and end of each audio file in the transcript using square brackets:

  • [XYZ 1.mp3]
  • (transcript content)
  • [End of XYZ 1.mp3]
  • [XYZ 2.mp3]
  • (transcript content)
  • #

    Important Notes

    • Combine file names and durations on the first page if needed
    • Clearly indicate transitions between different audio files
    • Keep formatting consistent throughout the document

This approach ensures clarity for clients reviewing transcripts with multiple audio sources.
