Update 16.02.2018 - we are actively recruiting at present and welcome applications.
Are you an experienced transcriber, looking for flexible and very competitively paid, contract transcription jobs? UK Transcription is a specialist qualitative research agency, and due to steady high growth, we are always on the look out for suitably qualified candidates.
Rates of Pay
We are amongst the highest payers in the industry, like-for-like. We demand high quality across the board, and pay accordingly. You are free to pick and choose which jobs you take on, so if you prefer just to work on simpler less demanding projects for lower rates, then you have freedom to do so.
We operate a 'pull' system, meaning we don't push work onto you, rather you can log on whenever you choose to pick up whichever work fits your schedule. Turnaround times vary from two hours to two weeks with various pay rates. You can claim work automatically from our bespoke project management system.
Payments are made monthly, by the 5th of the month, by bank transfer or PayPal. Our system automatically calculates monies due, so no need to send complicated invoices to us.
We take on high volumes from a number of research sectors from entertainment to academia, so it is likely we will often have work to suit your interests and expertise. You choose the work, so you can avoid subjects you don't get on with.
To apply, we require that you take a short initial screening test. This consists of an online copy typing test, followed by a short 'generic' audio transcription test which should take no longer than 30 minutes to complete. Should these be successful we will offer you a series of trial files which will be paid whatever the final outcome. Graduates from this process then have access to our online platform from where you can pick up work as and when you choose.
Please complete this form to begin your application. You will need to complete a short writing test and audio transcription. If successful you will need to sign an NDA before proceeding to the next stage.
