Ordering Process


To place an order, you must first obtain a firm quote from an account manager.  The easiest way to obtain a firm quote is to upload a representative audio file for evaluation. We aim to return quotes within one working hour.

To accept a quote, simply email confirmation to proceed by reply.

Use the quote upload form to submit files up to 2000MB in size. If you are registered, you can add files to your file area usin the file manage r.

Invoices are issued upon completion and emailed to your registered billing email address in PDF format.  All prices are subject to VAT. You can generate an invoice immediately, if required via this form . (You will need to know the total agreed price)

Invoices can be viewed and paid  via the 'View Invoices' page.

UK Transcription caters for clients of all shapes and sizes, from individuals and SMEs to Universities and FTSE 100 corporations. Our client list currently numbers over 1000 satisfied customers.


We employ a combination of permanent full-time office staff and remote UK based contractors. The majority of our remote staff have trained and served time in our offices and are local to Brighton. All remote staff are thouroughly vetted and must sign hard copies of our binding NDA agreements. Particularly sensitive material is dealt with in-house and never leaves the office.

 

Delivery & Quality


We take deadlines very seriously and consider our track record in this area to be exemplary.  In the very rare event that we might miss a deadline, customers are updated fully at the earliest opportunity and are awarded discounts as appropriate.


Once your transcript is complete, you will receive a link to your transcript in Word 2003 format.  Alternative formats, password protection and further security measures are available on request.


We have dedicated editors, a two stage QA process, and each and every unintelligible word is time stamped and double checked by at least two people.All transcripts are quality checked by a dedicated, full time proof reader.

 

Formatting & Language


Detail is specified on a scale of 1 to 10, where 10 is true verbatim (every word, stutter noise and hesitation) and 1 is a paraphrased summary. The default level is 7, which strikes a balance between readability and accuracy to the spoken word. UK Transcription is an intelligent verbatim interview specialist. We have years of experience producing intelligently edited transcripts which we are sure you will be satisfied with.


Character naming is included as standard, with the exception of large or animated group discussions, where naming may attract extra charges.


Unintelligible and ambiguous terms are time stamped by default for further checking. Periodic time stamping is available on request and is charged by unit volume.

 

Security & Confidentiality

 


All data transfer is via secure encrypted SSL. All files are permanently deleted after 8 days. Further measures such as encryption and password protection can be applied at any stage of the process, as required.


UK Transcription takes confidentiality and the security of your information very seriously. All employees are UK Citizens and have signed binding NDAs. Our standard confidentiality agreement is available on request.


Yes we are happy to sign non-disclosure or confidentiality agreements of your own devising.
